iDoc24 vann Excitera Mobile Cup
2010-04-15 Tävlingen Excitera Mobile Cup utmanar studenter från hela världen att skapa framtidens mobila tjänster. Igår korades STING-bolaget iDoc24, som utvecklar en mobil medicinsk informationstjänst, som vinnare under temat "mobile services that will change the world”.”Vi är mycket glada att stå som segrare i Excitera Mobile Cup och ser positivt på framtiden. Under sommaren 20010 kommer vi att lansera pilotprojekt med några landsting runt om i Sverige”, säger innovatören och läkaren Alexander Börve.
Juryns motivering lyder:
“For the potential to disrupt an existing broken industry, solving a tough problem in an ingenious way, using the inherent advantages of mobile devices.”
iDoc24 får, sedan januari 2010, kommersiellt stöd av affärsinkubatorn STING (Stockholm Innovation & Growth). Fokus är att utveckla bolaget till ett internationellt respekterat mobilhälsoföretag.

Sedan 2005 har läkaren Alexander Börve haft visionen att göra vården mera tillgänglig för allmänheten samt involvera lekmannen i sin egen hälsa. Resultatet har varit utvecklingen av en mobil medicinsk informationstjänst, där lekmannen kan fråga en hudspecialist och få svar inom 24 timmar.

Excitera Mobile Cup is the worlds largest platform-independent competition for mobile services. Students and non-students from all over the world form teams and compete for more than SEK 100 000 worth of prizes. The competition is arranged by Excitera: a student-driven, non-profit entrepreneurship association at KTH and some of the partners are Ericsson, Telenor, Sun and Adobe.
