Organization
The Electrum Foundation owns STING. Behind the foundation are the City of Stockholm, KTH (the Royal Institute of Technology), Ericsson, ABB, the research institutes in Kista and industry and real estate owners in Kista. STING is a non-profit company and is financed with public funding from the Electrum Foundation, our main partners Innovationsbron and he Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), private partners and own generated financing.
The Electrum Foundation
The Electrum Foundation strives to increase Swedish competence in information and communcations technology. The foundation reaches this goal through initiating, supporting and developing a close cooperation with business, research, and academia.
The foundation has two subsidaries: Kista Science City AB and Stockholm Innovation & Growth AB. Kista Science CIty AB is the executive organ within the Electrum Foundation and works with marketing and developing Kista Science City into becoming the most attractive area to establish ICT-companies (Information Communication Technology). Stockholm Innovation & Growth AB, STING, deals with innovation and startup activity for new technology companies in the Stockholm region.
